What are the system requirements for Contentscreen?ContentScreen is currently fully compatible with Windows 95, 98, NT4, 2000, Me, XP Home and Professional. (ContentScreen is not currently compatible with Mac or Linux computers.) Does the ContentScreen work with all web browsers?Yes, it is compatible with all web browsing software including IE 7. Is the ContentScreen easy to install?Yes, the software is very easy to download and install. We provide you with a step-by-step guide to help guide you through the simple and quick installation that will have you protected in minutes. Will the filtering slow down my Internet access?Not perceptibly. The filtering process takes less than a third of a second, so you should not notice any difference in your Internet speed. How does the filtering work?We do this by eliminating all of the hassles. All filtering takes place on our servers. Every time you connect to the Internet, no matter how you connect to the Internet, ContentScreen directs your computer to call out the requested site to check against our server database and in return it calls back to your pc to block or allow the content. We protect you from inappropriate content of all kinds without, stifling the power and effectiveness of the Internet. We employ a full-time staff whose sole responsibility is to seek out inappropriate sites and keep our database as current as possible who add between 7500 and 10,000 new sites to our database every week! What is a user profile?It is a separate profile that can be created on sign-up and installation of filter or later on that can have particular filtering categories selected to suit that users needs. What is the advantage to having more than 1 user profile?You can use only one user profile if you like or enable extra profiles for different family members or user’s, to provided a level of protection desired for the individuals needs. Each profile is provided with a separate password other than the master administrator password so that other users with different needs can not access someone else’s profile. This can also be helpful in monitoring an individuals behavior if you believe a particular user is abusing the internet. How does the internet monitoring with reports work?Every site visited is recorded for the past 3 days is kept on our server for analysis. This allows detailed reports for all user profiles to be created so that it can be viewed from your computer through the ContentScreen support center or remotely from anywhere through our reporting web site at your convenience. The administrator can also have an e-mail created through making themselves an accountability partner to be sent to them if someone attempts to access blocked categories. What is an accountability partner program and how does it work?The program allows the reporting web site and the users profile to be made available with a separate password to another person/partner who is willing to help an individual with internet abuse habits or a problem for example with internet pornography, online gambling or compulsive online shopping. If the filtering categories are selected the areas of problem should not be accessible, but in the case the user attempts to access a blocked category the accountability partner will be notified by e-mail that this has attempt has been made. The reports then or at anytime be accessed by the partner to where or if the user is having a problem or trying to use another area of the internet to access unsuitable content. What type of monitoring reports are generated?There are 4 reports generated; Summary, Usage Time, All Site Activity and blocked site attempts which break down into categories and profiles providing information detailing the actual time and site address with direct hyper links to them for analysis if required. |
